Takaya Sakano is a photographer based in Tokyo. Born in Osaka 1975, he moved around in search of snowy mountains. He relocated to New Zealand at 19 and started experimenting with photography. After coming back to Japan, he began apprenticing under the renowned photographer Tamotsu Fujii.
He started his own business in 2009 working on numerous clients such as UNIQLO, ANA, SUNTORY, Bureau of Transportation Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Kubota, JAPAN POST HOLDINGS. While working on those clients, he won numerous international awards at ad festivals including ADC, ADFEST, Cannes Lions, One Show, Spikes Asia, and Tokyo ADC.
