Chad Dezern is the Head of Creative at Insomniac Games. His 25 years in the games industry only feel like 4 or 5 years, because he’s been lucky enough to contribute to fun series like Spyro the Dragon, Ratchet & Clank, and Resistance.

In his current role, he’s honored to lead a talented team that specializes in turning their insanely ambitious whiteboard fantasies into real things. Sometimes those things are in VR, like the competitive spellcasting game The Unspoken and the open world action game Stormland for the Oculus Rift. Sometimes those things are on consoles, like the bestselling open world superhero game Marvel’s Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4. Either way, he’s awestruck by the constantly evolving possibilities of interactive storytelling.

Chad serves on the Advisory Board for North Carolina State’s Digital Games Research Center. He graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 1994 with a B.F.A. in illustration.
