Saskia Marka is an independent title designer based in Berlin, Germany. She studied communication design at Muthesius University of Fine Arts & Design and motion design at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. Within 10 years she has worked for most german production companies like X Filme Creative Pool, Ufa Fiction, Constantin Film, Rat Pack. Her work is focussed on conceptual title design and typography.
2010 her title design for the movie »This is Love« received a Certificate Of Typographic Excellence by the TDC, New York. Saskias title sequence for the TV-Show »Babylon Berlin« was voted No1 of 2018 by Art of the Title and received Title Design Finalist recognition at the SXSW Film Festival 2019. It is nominated for the Beazley Design of the Year Award 2020 by the Design Museum, London.
Her end title sequence for the hit show „The Queen’s Gambit“ made it again into the Top Picks of 2020 by Art of the Title.
