Let’s talk about Aki. Where do we start? Akhilesh is a sharp creative, he’s been told. He’s also an awkward human being, he’s been told. He started in the industry at a malleable age of 17, before which he was a full-time teenager. A copywriter by trait, he has worked at various acronym-ed and non-acronym-ed agencies such as DDB, BBDO, JWT, McCann and Leo Burnett. Now, the question of everyone’s mind; has he done enough to earn a call-up to judge the iconic ADC awards? Debatable. He certainly has not won the truck-loads of laurels as his fellow distinguished jury members, but a mini-bus meanwhile is very plausible. In all cases, he promises to judge the entries with the same passion and sincerity as the effort that’s gone into making them. He is one of you.
