Vivian Cheng founded “Vivian Design” since 2014, providing consultancy services and promoting her art in jewellery and glass. She was awarded prizes in the Young Designers of the Year Award (1987), the Gift and Houseware Fair Design Award and the Governor’s Award for Industry (1989), after joining Lambda Industrial Limited as Head of Product Design team. In 1995, she began her teaching career in product design in the Vocational Training Council and later principally responsible for establishing international network with design-related organizations/schools and organizing Design activities, conferences and exhibitions. Vivian was the International Liaison Manager of HKDI and member of the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Design Centre in 2002 and board member of the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (Icsid) (renamed as World Design Organization) from 2013-2017. Furthermore, she was a panel/jury member for the government and various NGOs for various international design awards.
