As co-founder and president of Girl Culture Films, Francis (Frank) Evers is dedicated to supporting and creating opportunities for remarkable underrepresented filmmakers with diverse perspectives. He brings to his role decades of experience in visual storytelling across virtually every medium—from film, photography, and TV to book publishing, museum exhibitions, digital media, and video games—combining 360-degree business strategy with a lifelong passion for filmmaking that illuminates the human experience. Frank is the founder and executive producer of Evergreen Pictures, an award-winning production company that specializes in the production of documentary films (The Kingmaker, Generation Wealth, The Queen of Versailles, Magic City, Bling Dynasty, Beauty CULTture, kids+money, Fashion Show). In addition to running Evergreen Pictures, Frank is the CEO of INSTITUTE, named in 2011 by the British Journal of Photography as the fourth most prestigious photo agency in the world. Frank is also the co-founder of the New York Photo Festival and the co-creator of The Future of Storytelling, two New York–based annual events that have attracted hundreds of thousands of participants since 2008. Between 1995 and 2005, Frank spent ten years in the video-game business, running product development and production for Activision, Vivendi, and Disney Interactive. During this time, his video games generated over $1 billion in global sales. Frank started in the film business with Sony Pictures Entertainment, and later discovered, packaged, and financed the cult classic film Swimming With Sharks (1994). He also holds the Irish Junior record in the Pole Vault, set in 1983, making it one of Ireland’s longest standing records.
