Janno is one of the founding partners and a senior design lead in Velvet, one of the most awarded design agencies in Estonia. Trying to find ways of understanding what users feel and how they act has been a clear focus thoughout his more than 15 years as a designer. Working on some of the most coplex digital and physical environments, preaching the empathy-first gospel to students, clients and governments and putting what he has learned into two books on the subject, have made him one of the most recognized design evangelists in Estonia. He has served on the ADC*Europe Board, representing Estonia, since 2012.
