Valdís Steinarsdóttir works in Iceland as an independent designer, mainly focusing on material experiments by recycling organic matter. In her work, she seeks to engage in a dialogue with her audience and strives to find unique solutions to social and environmental issues. Amongst other acknowledgements Valdís was nominated for the Icelandic Presidential Innovation Award, Shortlisted in Dezeen Awards in the category Emerging designer of the year and winner of Formex Nova Award – Nordic Designer of the Year 2020.
