Kora is the Co-Founder of Immersive Design Studios and an innovator in the areas of immersive media and software development for nearly two decades. She is known for pushing the boundaries between physical environments and virtual perceptions, using emerging real-time technologies to create interactive, large-scale shared experiences. Kora and her Co-Founder Thomas Soetens developed CANVAS, Immersive’s proprietary software platform enabling interactive media presentations at any scale. CANVAS is transforming the way corporations, architecture and real estate firms, cultural and educational institutions, and performers engage with their audiences and communities. Clients such as Riot Games, Tony Robbins, SL Green Realty Corp., the Monterey Conference Center, and many more have relied on CANVAS to imagine new methods of interactivity and connection. Kora’s dual background in art and architecture, combined with her passion for emerging technologies, informs her strategic guidance as she leads Immersive’s in-house content production team. Kora’s pioneering projects and research have appeared in the Museum of the Moving Image (New York), Musee d’Art Contemporain de Montreal (Montreal), MIT (Boston), the Experimental Media and Performance Art Center (New York). Originally from Belgium, she holds a degree from the University of Montreal’s architecture program and is a recipient of several awards including the Gold Medal of the Royal Architecture Institute of Canada.
