Shin HAGIWARA is a Belgian architect and scenographer. After co-founding the Bureau Vers plus de bien- être, he created the new agency SHSH Architecture + Scenography with Shizuka Hariu, developing design in intercultural contexts, both in Europe and in Japan, constantly sharing his cultural, social, philosophical and environmental concerns. He is designing a communal library in Morlanwelz, a private museum and housing in Brussels, and exhibition scenographies by imagining an environment where the visitor can appreciate the works on display through a sensory, didactic and playful experience. The desired atmosphere is serene, domestic and stimulating. His work has been awarded several prizes, such as the nomination for the Mies van der Rohe - European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture, the Brussels-Horta Prize, the Steel Construction Prize, the Public Prize of the City of Liege and the Belgian Construction Prize.
