Takeshi Takada

Executive Producer and Co-Founder

Alt Group

Brisbane, Australia

Born in Japan and educated in Brisbane before returning to Tokyo, Alt.vfx founder and executive producer Takeshi Takada spent eight years working in marketing for worldwide advertising agencies and IT companies. Harnessing his deep knowledge of branding, business and post-production, he formed Brisbane’s Alt.vfx in 2011 alongside a dedicated crew of six, including business partner Colin Renshaw. Since then, Alt has become known as a world-leading visual effects and post-production company employing over 80 crew, now with studios in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Los Angeles and Tokyo. Takeshi’s team is galvanized around a single shared vision – to create remarkable work with the best people, no matter the visual medium. Always at the forefront of innovation, the wider Alt Group has expanded to include creative technology arm, T&DA, as well as specialist motion design company, New Holland Creative. Together, the companies represent a creative powerhouse that can work across VFX, animation, design, emerging technologies, interactive installations and more, including award-winning feature films and global campaigns for some of the world’s biggest brands. Most recently, the company has opened a stand alone live action production studio to the stable. Steelbridge Studio, in the heart of Takeshi’s native Brisbane, is able to harness the latest virtual production techniques alongside traditional green screen facilities under one roof, further extending the Alt.vfx brand across film, television and commercial production.
