Arnar Ingi is a multidisciplinary designer from Reykjavík Iceland, specializing in cultural branding and visual identity systems, ranging from print and identity to interactive installations. Born in a strange, desolated and by some understandable standards, an inhabitable rock called Iceland, Arnar Ingi decided to seek greener pasture and did in fact graduate from Instituto Europeo di Design (not in Iceland) with a diploma in Art Direction, receiving special academic board awards for his thesis about local cultural identity. Arnar (a common name in Icelandic; a fact somewhat hard to believe) is the ½ of the award-winning, multi-dimensional design studio Arnar&Arnar, based in Reykjavík. Whilst writing bios, Arnar Ingi believes he utilizes design thinking as a force for creative social solutions and focuses on the relationship between human behavior, humor, design and interaction and how each affects the other to make unique experiences and promote social good. Arnar Ingi has won numerous awards including Gold Prize with the Associations of Icelandic Graphic Designers, The Reykjavík Grapevine Design Awards and the Icelandic Music Awards for Graphic Design.
