Leo Burnett has led the advertising community in Chicago for years and fortunately for us, they share our commitment to increasing diversity in advertising. Leo has partnered with us for the Chicago CBC since we brought it there 4 years ago. This year, Susan Credle, North America Chief Creative Officer, welcomed participants to the agency with an encouraging speech about her entry into the advertising industry. Followed by a presentation of the client brief – Kraft’s Crystal Light Pure. Top creatives came out to Columbia College to mentor and judge the CBC and as some of the best in the industry; they always make these four days highly enjoyable! The workshop could have ended when advertising great Bob Scarpelli, former Chairman and Global Chief Creative Officer of DDB, presented work and spoke with participants by sharing his smart insights into the industry. Columbia College professors Peg Murphy and Larry Minsky followed with a creative exercise. The teams worked tirelessly to develop their campaigns and presented to a panel of judges, that included the client – Chi-town again turned it up!
