Tahirah spearheads change for our industry by creating more equity in creativity, and leading others to do the same. She changes the game wherever she goes, enacting a new kind of workplace and culture across race and intersectionality.

She co-founded a globally-distributed publication called Plantain Papers, created to foster connections between Black and Brown people and share their much-needed stories.

Within 72andSunny, she spearheads 72X “The Work” subcommittee, a grassroots, employee-driven resource group created to amplify the diverse voices and experiences of 72’ers. She led Pinterest’s most diverse creator campaign to date, helping the brand start a new conversation around beauty and representation with “Make the World See Your Beauty.” She shepherded Adobe’s “When I See Black” that helped elevate diverse voices and amplify the spectrum of Black experience told by Black creators.

Her influence reaches into how we make the work. She helped create In For 13, an initiative urging the industry to hire at least 13% Black senior leadership by 2023. For the pledge, she and a group of Black LA ad professionals developed a toolkit for agencies, working with EDI specialists.

Tahirah has many super powers, but helping others is truly at the core of her leadership.
