Next Creative Leaders 2023 Jury

Amy Small

EVP Creative

Media Cause

Amy Small is the EVP, Creative + Brand at Media Cause, a mission-driven digital agency that helps nonprofits grow and accelerate their impact—and the Managing Director of the RiseUP Marketing Fellowship, a fully-paid, full-time program that provides training, mentorship, and hands-on client experience to diverse talent who are often overlooked by the marketing and advertising industries. Before joining Media Cause and opening the agency’s Atlanta office in 2018, Amy spent 15+ years in the CPG world developing award-winning strategies, campaigns, and digital activations for major global brands including Kleenex, Krispy Kreme, and Keurig. Now, having found a greater sense of purpose in her professional life, she works to bring the same human-centered approaches to building stronger nonprofit initiatives across a full-spectrum of issues, from educational and social inequity to animal welfare and homelessness. In addition to her formal roles, Amy volunteers her time as a mentor, frequently speaks at conferences and webinars, and has been a judge for the Webbys, Effies, and CampaignUS Power of Purpose Awards. She is also passionate about breaking down the stigmas surrounding mental health, and advocates for making the practices of mindfulness, empathy, and self-compassion across the industry. The Media Cause employee wellbeing program she developed and launched in early 2022, called "Wholebeing," was recently awarded Bell Seal Certification from Mental Health America, as well as named "Best New Workplace Wellbeing Strategy" of the year by This Can Happen Global.
