Formerly known as the One Show Greater China Awards, which was founded in 2014 by The One Club for Creativity, the awards were established because of the tremendous growth and evolution of creativity in the Asia Pacific market. I’m currently the CCO of VML Ogilvy Japan, where I’ve been the last five years, looking after the 60+ strong creative department here. Before landing at Ogilvy Japan , I spent a decade as CD, ECD and finally National ECD with Ogilvy, China, leading creative on the agency’s biggest accounts—Nestle, Siemens, VW, IBM, Lenovo and Mercedes Benz—while picking up metal in the world’s biggest shows, including China’s first ever Yellow Pencil, as well as a Spikes Grand Prix and multiple Cannes Gold Lions. Before China, I worked at FCB/San Francisco during the Levi’s years, JWT in Singapore and for Dentsu’s Mothership in Tokyo after my first job at Leo Burnett’s in Chicago. I’m married to a woman from Shanghai and enjoy nothing more than my two bilingual sons correcting my broken Mandarin.
