Angie was a radio DJ and newscaster for some of Metro Manila’s most popular FM stations before joining advertising. Her two-decade journey in the industry has taken her to Ogilvy, TBWA\SMP, and Ace Saatchi & Saatchi in the Philippines, and Grey Group in Malaysia. As Executive Creative Director of Havas Ortega Group, Angie drives the agency’s creative philosophy for the Havas Village clients in media, digital, social commerce, CRM, PR, healthcare, branding, and sustainability. Angie’s work has garnered local and international awards in creativity and effectiveness. She has also regularly served as a speaker and panelist in industry events, and a juror for some of the most prestigious regional and global creative awards shows. Passionate about learning, she has mentored Fine Arts students at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, and was a professor at De La Salle College of St. Benilde, School of Design and Arts. She is also venturing into transforming an abandoned school into a platform for artists and writers in her home province. Currently she is completing her capstone project for the Digital Management Accelerator Programme of Hyper Island, Singapore.
