Vumile has been working in the visual communication industry for the last 18 years, working on a wide range of brands and creative disciplines. He is an ‘integrated conceptual creative’ with a keen focus on brand design. Currently based in Johannesburg, South Africa, he has worked for some of the country’s top advertising agencies, namely Ogilvy, M&C Saatchi, Joe Public and VMLY&R, to name a few. Vums is Co-founder and Executive Creative Director of Odd by Dsgn, part of The Odd Number Group - specialising in multidisciplinary design that goes beyond the traditional. He has won awards, published in local and international publications, digital blogs and has been commissioned by brands on design projects. The last eight years have been his most active as a judge at design and advertising awards, locally and internationally. In 2018 he had the honour and privilege of judging at Cannes for the Design Lions. In 2019 he was invited to Minsk, Belarus for the White Square Award Festival as part of the branding and design jury. He is passionate about innovative work that reimagines creativity and its role in society.
